Soulja Boy Tell 'Em,crank that, soulja boy pics, souljaboytellem.com DeAndre Ramone Way was born July 28, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois. Better known by his stage name Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, or simply Soulja Boy, is an American rapper. In September 2007, his single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was initially self-published on the Internet, and it became a number-one hit in the United States for seven non-consecutive weeks starting in September 2007.

It was on November 2005 when Way brodcast his songs on the a popular video-based social community YouTube. Following positive reviews on the site, Soulja Boy then created his own web pages on YouTube and MySpace. In March 2007, he recorded "Crank That" and released his first independent album Unsigned and Still Major, followed by a low-budget video filmed demonstrating the "Soulja Boy" dance. By the end of May 2007, "Crank That" received its first air play and Soulja Boy met with Mr. Collipark to sign a deal with Interscope Records.

The album features his hit single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" which tops music charts all over the US, as well as guest appearances by Arab and I-15. "Donk" will be the fifth and final single.

Entertainment Weekly ranked it as the number 1 worst album of 2007. Soulja Boy produced the entire album at his own expense using FL Studio.

The lead single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 before the release of the album in September 2007. In its first week, Souljaboytellem.com sold 117,000 copies and debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200. As of February 6, 2008, Souljaboytellem.com has sold 745,968 copies.

Thanks for featuring up and coming hip hop artists on your blog, I love hip hop and love knowing about new talent. One of my favorites is Delon - he is a new Sri Lankan American artist who raps about unity in Sri Lanka. It would be great if you could feature him.
