Kanye West Brings Home Four Grammy's

Kanye Omari West was born June 8, 1977 Atlanta, Georgia. He's an American record producer and is a multiple Grammy Award-winning rapper who took the spotlight in early 2000s. His debut album was The College Dropout in 2004, his second album Late Registration in 2005, and his third album Graduation in 2007. His first three albums have received many awards and nine of them from Grammys, critical acclaim, and commercial success. He has also established his own reconrd label which is GOOD Music. As you'll notice, West's mascot and trademark is a teddy bear, which has appeared on the covers of his three albums as well as the single cover for his song "Stronger."

West's first album, The College Dropout, was released in February 2004 and it produced five singles. The album sold about four million copies worldwide and also captures a lot of fans outside US. His released his second album, Late Registration, in February 2005 and it produced the number one U.S. single "Gold Digger". Graduation, West's third album was released in September 2007 and it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

Kanye West have won four awards in the recently concluded 2008 Grammy's. The awards won by Kanye are Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album. He also did a stunning performance which delighted all who've watched it. A glow in the dark performance which ended in a huge round of applause and screaming. This is absolutely one of the unforgettable moments in kanye's colorful career.

Graduation Album

Grammy Award-winning third studio album by hip hop artist Kanye West, released on September 11, 2007. The title of the album follows the college theme of Kanye West's previous two albums, The College Dropout and Late Registration. The album artwork was designed by Takashi Murakami. The album won 3 Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album. West thereby joins rapper Eminem as the only artists to have each of their first three albums win this award.

Graduation received generally favorable reviews from music critics. Rolling Stone said that "none of the beats clobber you as immediately as "Jesus Walks" or "Gold Digger," but most of them improve on every listen: This is an album that you first like, then love.
